Hotel Okura

A collection of interiors and vignettes of the iconic Hotel Okura in Minato, Tokyo.

The hotel was designed by Yoshiro Taniguchi, and is a true landmark of Modernist Japanese Design.

Since these pictures were taken, much of the hotel was demolished and since has been redesigned by the son of Taniguchi, and uses many of Yoshiro's design ideas throughout. 

However these pictures depict the original establishment created with unsurpassed detail and dignity.
